I've been dreaming of owning a Vantage for years and I finally took the plunge on a used 2020 model. Now the honeymoon phase is over and I'm starting to stress about where to take it for proper care. I know these cars have very specific maintenance needs and I've read horror stories about general workshops that don't have the right diagnostic tools or experience with the handcrafted V8 engines and the adaptive suspension systems. I'm torn between the dealership and finding a good independent specialist, because I've heard the dealer service costs can be astronomical. A friend who's into cars mentioned that there are a few workshops around that use the same factory-level diagnostic equipment as the dealer and have technicians trained on these British sports cars. I've been looking at a place in the Mussafah area that specializes in European marques and has a good reputation for quality workmanship and transparent pricing. I'm basically looking for a workshop that offers a certified Aston Martin workshop in Abu Dhabi where they actually understand the intricacies of the vehicle and won't treat me like just another customer number. Has anyone here made the switch from the dealer to an independent specialist for their Aston Martin and been happy with the quality of work? I'd really appreciate some honest recommendations before I commit to anything.
