Check engine light came on this morning – can I just show up somewhere?
Woke up today, started my 2016 Jeep Cherokee, and bam, the yellow check engine light is on. The car seems to drive completely fine, no noises, no smells, nothing feels different. But I have a long commute and I don't want to ignore it if it's something serious. I don't have an appointment anywhere and most shops I called said they're booked for days. I need a place that does walk-in auto repair Dubai where I can just show up, get the code read, and at least find out if it's an emergency or not. I saw Dynostar's mechanic page and they mention quick diagnostics. Has anyone here just walked into a shop without an appointment and gotten a scan done quickly? How much should I expect to pay for just reading the code? I know I can buy a cheap scanner myself but I'd rather have a professional tell me what it means. Also if the code is something like an oxygen sensor, can I still drive the car for a few days? Any advice on the fastest way to get an answer would be great. Thanks.
